Data sources
Every published fact states its origin and the date it was observed. When a fact passes its validity window we mark it as needing confirmation rather than presenting it as current.
| Source | What it provides | Refresh | Reliability |
|---|---|---|---|
| INEGI, DENUE | Census of economic units, including practices with no presence on the internet. | Monthly | High for existence and location. Phone numbers and emails are often empty. |
| DGIS, CLUES catalog | Official register of health establishments: institution, facility type, beds and consulting rooms. | Monthly | High. It is the sector's official register. |
| OpenStreetMap | Geometry and borough boundaries. ODbL licence. | Monthly | Varies by area. |
| Consejo de Salubridad General | Certification of medical care establishments. | Quarterly | High. Always shown with its scheme, scope and date. |
| SEP, Registro Nacional de Profesionistas | Professional licence (cédula) verification. | Continuous, through a verification queue | High. We verify person by person, because no official bulk download exists. |
| Hospital medical directories | Medical staff published by hospital groups. | Monthly | Medium. Hospitals are slow to remove people who no longer practise there. |
| Insurer provider lists | Provider networks published by insurers. | Monthly | Low. They change without notice and are often out of date at the source. Always confirm with the practice before your appointment. |
Precedence
When two sources contradict each other, the more authoritative one wins: what the practice confirmed replaces what was imported, and what was imported from an official register replaces what a user reported. Nothing is deleted: the losing observation is kept and the decision is reversible.
